Dr. Shane Bowen is a lifelong Texan despite being born in California. He joined Cherry Creek Family Dentistry in 2018 after relocation with his family to the Denver area. Central to his practice of dentistry is the principle of providing patients with the highest quality services in a conservative and personable manner. He strongly believes in working with patients to create comprehensive treatment plans that best fit their dental needs and long-term goals. Ultimately, he wants to give them the thoughtful type of care that he would offer to his own family members!
Dr. Bowen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1997 and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2002. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Bowen furthered his education by pursuing training in advanced dentistry in a nationally recognized post-doctorate program. He completed General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2003. This program focused on a wide variety of advanced dental techniques including implant dentistry; wisdom teeth removal; cosmetic dentistry; endodontics (root canals) and care for patients with complicated medical conditions.
Dr. Bowen has invested hundreds of hours over the course of his career in continuing education with specific interest focused on Orthodontics (Invisalign) and complex cosmetic treatments. He is an active member of the following organizations:
- American Dental Association
- Colorado Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry (currently working towards Fellowship)
- Academy of Facial Esthetics
Dr. Bowen resides in Highlands Ranch with his wife Regan, an attorney turned legal recruiter, and their two sons Brady and Cooper On his days away from the office, Dr. Bowen is an avid golfer, long distance runner and sports enthusiast. He also spends much of his personal time coaching his son’s sports’ teams. Dr. Bowen is committed to, and excited about, providing the excellent care that has been established by Cherry Creek Family Dentistry.
